Advantages of stone finishing

Advantages of using the material's physical properties:

Stone overlays add additional strength and durability to facades and basements. Gypsum brick is used for interior spaces. It is used to finish wall sections and areas most exposed to destructive influences: doorways, hallways, bathrooms, and protruding corners.
Installation is simple – with adhesive. First, the walls are coated with gypsum plaster. It is important to begin preparation by removing nails and eliminating any defects that would prevent a smooth base.
Concrete walls, if painted, are first treated with a wire brush. Use a mechanical tool to create shallow scratches to improve adhesion. The walls must be covered with a protective compound or plastic gypsum plaster. For laying brick, use a special adhesive—apply it to the wall and rotate it slightly toward the brick plank. Installation is the same as laying ceramic tiles. The joints are sealed with grout.
Various colors create unique patterns, creating entire wall panels. Stone cladding complements raised plants and other interior details. Decorative stone fits into many interior styles: loft, rustic, Scandinavian, boho, and Gothic.
There are virtually no additives to stone finishes. The only downsides include the cost of many types of natural stone, their heavy weight, and the potential difficulty of cutting them to the desired size and shape. However, all these drawbacks are easily overcome by using artificial materials.
It should be noted that in small spaces, using large stone cladding is highly undesirable, as the excessive space reduction can create an oppressive effect. Therefore, artificial stone is used for finishing in apartments and small houses. Lay them out only on the basis of fragments: door arches, decorative wall panels, kitchen aprons, protruding corners.
